The Complete Guide

Copy and paste fonts

"Copy and paste fonts" are not font files at all — they are Unicode characters shaped like styled letters. You generate text here, copy it, and paste it into apps that have no font menu. Same tool as the homepage, plus a guide to every style family and where each one works.

Why copy-paste fonts work where fonts can't

A normal font is software: a file your device installs, which only changes how your screen draws letters — send the text to a friend without the font and it falls back to plain. Copy-paste fonts flip the model. The styling lives inside the characters themselves: the script 𝒜, the bold 𝐀 and the plain A are three different code points in the Unicode standard, like three different letters. Any app that can display text can display them, on any device, with nothing installed — the trade-off is that screen readers and search engines know them by their formal names ("mathematical bold capital A"), not as the letter A.

The rules that apply everywhere

  • Display text only: usernames/handles on Instagram, TikTok, Discord and Roblox reject these characters by design; names, bios, captions and messages accept them.
  • Support varies: bold, italic, script and small caps render nearly everywhere; frames and exotic symbols can box out on old devices.
  • Keep meaning plain: keywords, links and important info should include a plain-text version for search and accessibility.

Frequently asked questions

Are copy and paste fonts free to use?

Yes. The characters are part of the Unicode standard, published for anyone to use, and this generator is free with no sign-up. The styled text you create is yours to paste anywhere.

Can I use these fonts in Word, Canva or Photoshop?

Yes — paste the styled text in as regular text. Note it will use your device's system glyphs for those characters, so for print design work, treat it as a mockup rather than final artwork.

Do copy-paste fonts work on iPhone and Android?

Both. iOS and Android ship fonts covering the mathematical alphabets and common symbols. The newest or rarest characters (like small capital ꞯ) may be missing on very old systems.

Why does the pasted text sometimes lose its style?

Some apps sanitise input — a few games and form fields strip characters outside their allowed ranges, and rich-text editors occasionally normalise pasted text. If a style vanishes, that app is filtering it; the text itself is fine.
