Every style above is real text, generated locally in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored.

How fancy text actually works

These styles are not fonts and not images. When you type "Hello" and pick the script style, the generator swaps every letter for a look-alike character that already exists in Unicode — the script H is a code point called MATHEMATICAL SCRIPT CAPITAL H, stored in the same standard as A, B and C. Because the result is ordinary text, it survives copy-and-paste into apps that offer no formatting buttons at all, and it looks the same on your phone, your friend's phone and a desktop.

Most letter styles come from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, which reserves whole alphabets for bold, italic, script, fraktur, double-struck, monospace and sans-serif forms. A handful of letters live outside that block as famous exceptions — the script capital H (ℋ), the double-struck R (ℝ) used for real numbers, the italic small h (ℎ) borrowed from the Planck constant symbol. This generator maps every one of them by hand, so words like "Hello" come out complete instead of full of gaps.

Where you can (and can't) use it

Fancy text works in display names, bios, captions, comments, posts, statuses and messages on Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X, Facebook, WhatsApp, Roblox and most games. It usually does not work in usernames or handles: Instagram handles, for example, only accept plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores, so style your name field and bio lines instead. A few very exotic styles may show as boxes on older devices — bold, italic, script and small caps are supported almost everywhere.

Picking a style that stays readable

  • Names and headlines: bold, sans bold, squared or a framed style.
  • Bios and captions: script for elegance, small caps or superscript for a soft aesthetic, spaced letters for a minimal look.
  • Gaming: fraktur, double-struck, or a frame like ꧁༺ name ༻꧂ or xX name Xx.
  • Fun posts: upside down, mirror, light zalgo, or letters with stars between them.

One caution worth knowing: screen readers read styled letters by their Unicode names ("mathematical script capital H…"), which makes long fancy paragraphs hard work for visually impaired readers. Use fancy text for names and short accents, and keep important information in plain text.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a font I need to install?

No. Nothing is installed and nothing is downloaded. The generator converts your text into Unicode characters that your device already knows how to draw, which is exactly why they paste into other apps.

Why do some styles show as boxes or question marks?

That device or app is missing glyphs for those characters in its system fonts. It is a display limit on the viewer's side, not an error in your text. Bold, italic, script and small caps render on virtually every modern phone.

Can I use fancy text in my username?

Usually not. Most platforms restrict usernames to plain a–z, 0–9 and a few symbols so accounts stay searchable. Use fancy styles in the display name, bio, captions and posts instead.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser with local code. You can even load the page, go offline, and keep generating.

Which style gets the most attention?

Framed styles (꧁༺ ༻꧂,) and bold stand out most in feeds; script and small caps look the most polished. Match the style to the job rather than stacking three styles in one line.
